Harvest global gold giants index ETF (HGGG:TSX) proves it pays to own quality

In January 2019 Harvest launched an Index product that would track the performance of the top 20 global Gold producers by market capitalization. HGGG is an adjunct to the Harvest Investment Philosophy, which is to own quality long running businesses.

  • Established Gold-mining stocks provide greater leverage than investing in gold bullion. This is because as the price of gold rises, the profit margins of gold mining companies increase which can boost earnings exponentially.
  • HGGG is equally weighted and global, two factors that have helped with performance versus competitors
  • Low Management Fee at 0.4% and is equally weighted across 20 of the largest gold producing companies, reducing the market cap effect seen in many other gold ETF’s
