August 23, 2018

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO, August 23, 2018 – Harvest Portfolios Group Inc. (“Harvest”) completed the quarterly rebalance of the portfolio holdings of the Blockchain Technologies ETF (“HBLK”) on August 22, 2018.

HBLK, the largest and first Blockchain focused ETF to launch in Canada seeks to replicate, to the extent reasonably possible and before fees and expenses, the performance of the Harvest Blockchain Technologies Index. The Harvest Blockchain Technologies Index has been designed to track the performance of issuers exposed to the development and implementation of blockchain technologies. The ETF invests in equity securities of issuers exposed, directly or indirectly, to the development and implementation of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.

The Harvest Blockchain Technologies Index is rebalanced quarterly and is composed of two segments, the Large Cap Blockchain issuer segment and the Emerging Blockchain issuer segment. Full details regarding the Harvest Blockchain Technology Index can be found on the Harvest website www.harvestportfolios.com. HBLK provides exposure to 10 core large cap technology companies engaged in blockchain such as Visa Inc., Accenture PLC and SAP SE. In the emerging segment there is currently 10 positions commanding approximately 54% of the portfolio and holds positions such as Global Blockchain Technologies Corp., Overstock.com Inc and Mogo Finance Technology Inc. As the universe of pure dedicated blockchain companies grows, the Index progressively shifts to being 100% focused on this segment.

“By replicating the Harvest Blockchain Technologies Index, HBLK systematically shifts weightings as the Emerging Blockchain segment develops while blending in large established technology companies that are dedicating resources to blockchain technologies,” said Michael Kovacs, President and CEO of Harvest. “We believe this portfolio structure is the intelligent solution to invest in the blockchain evolution.” The updated HBLK portfolio can be found on the Harvest website: www.harvestportfolios.com.
